We want to create awareness among our employees for a healthy lifestyle and health-promoting conditions in the working environment. The varied sports program ranges from in-house fitness studios to yoga, Zumba and Tai Chi classes. For a fee, employees can have a massage during working hours. In addition, the in-house Chur Silence Room with massage chairs invites you to relax with a power nap.
A sustainable and resource-conserving nutrition for our employees promotes their health and makes an important contribution to climate protection. In the company restaurants, our employees are offered a vegetarian menu and regional specialties in addition to the classics every day. With the Culinarium seal of approval, we offer local specialties and products from the region certified by ProCert. To make our company even more sustainable, we switched from disposable packaging for to-go meals to the reCIRCLE BOX reusable packaging system.
As part of the management programs, it conveys the corporate and leadership culture of the Würth Group by involving top management. With its programs, the Würth Business Academy facilitates the requirement for lifelong learning and thus ensures that management and junior staff are equipped and qualified for future challenges.

During their apprenticeships, apprentices can take part in a language study trip. The Würth IT Switzerland AG supports this trip with 50% diesen Aufenthalt mit 50 % assumption of costs and 50 % Time compensation.
Würth has always focused on recruiting young talent from its own ranks with a variety of interlinked programs that build on one another for students, graduates and young professionals. Supporting young people individually in their professional orientation and training is an important foundation of our sustainable HR approach.
Würth stands for tolerance and respect. Our actions focus on treating each other with respect. Everyone is given the same opportunities to develop their potential, regardless of age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical or mental impairment, social or ethnic origin, nationality, language, skin color, religion or ideology. We do not tolerate discrimination or racism of any kind and ensure a working environment that is free from prejudice and intolerance and enables everyone to make a valuable contribution. For us, diversity is reflected in the uniqueness of our colleagues and their personalities. Accordingly, Würth relies on diversity for future success and has also founded a diversity initiative in this context.
The Diversity Charter aims to promote the recognition, appreciation and inclusion of diversity in the world of work. We have supported this initiative as a signatory company since 2007, as these values are an integral part of Würth's corporate culture.
Würth Haus Rorschach
A photovoltaic system is installed on the roof of our building, which is used to generate electricity. The top-lights in the outside area are alternately covered with an electronically controlled blind system and a partially transparent photovoltaic system. The electricity generated by the system is used entirely for the building's own purposes. Würth Haus Rorschach was completely converted to LED lighting in 2023 and the electricity is generated from 100% hydropower.

With heat pumps as the heating system and controlled room ventilation, the most modern and environmentally friendly building technology systems are used. A building component conditioning system, which utilizes the mass of the concrete ceilings to cool the offices in summer, completes the building technology.
We look after our employees with above-average social benefits for occupational pensions, accidents or illness and our own pension fund foundation with a choice of two pension plans and insurance of the entire target salary without coordination deductions. We want to create the best possible framework conditions so that employees are protected.
With the aim of creating a circular value chain, it is necessary to keep an eye on the consequences of our economic, ecological and social actions. To this end, the Würth Management Board has also drawn up ten principles of its own based on the ten principles of the UN Global Compact. These form the basis of our future actions. Here we declare, among other things, that we are committed to a future with renewable energies, that we want to work closely with our suppliers and that we want to make our contribution to the responsible use of finite resources. You can find more information on this in our sustainability report.
In order to create transparency towards our employees, but also towards our customers, suppliers and other business partners, we have derived specific rules of conduct based on our corporate values, which we have summarized in the Code of Compliance (CoC). This serves as a guideline for employees of the entire Würth Group, but also includes business partners. In addition to general principles of conduct, it also describes rules for dealing with business partners, avoiding conflicts of interest, handling information and implementing the CoC. In addition to the CoC, mandatory training courses are offered to employees. The content includes compliance basics, dealing with gifts and invitations and data protection. The CoC is also part of every supplier contract and must be accepted by the supplier.
In order to make our contribution to reducing emissions, we offer employees and visitors to Würth Haus Rorschach electric car charging stations and e-bike charging stations for use.
The philosophy of Special Olympics is very simple: to increase the self-confidence and acceptance of people with intellectual and multiple disabilities in society through sport. Special Olympics is the only organization authorized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to use the term "Olympics" worldwide. Würth supports this movement in many countries. Our corporate culture is characterized by a very cordial cooperation. Würth is not the only company that is strongly committed to social causes. Many of our employees also volunteer in associations or organizations, support the Special Olympics or take the initiative in other ways. Würth is happy to give them the time to do this and also releases them from work if necessary. Just as important is the appreciation that is shown to employees every day in very different places.
A glass shell covers the entire Würth Haus Rorschach. This glass "curtain" protects the building not only from the sea breeze and street noise, but also from heat input and cooling. The inner skin consists of triple insulating glass and thermal insulation with sheet metal cladding. The glass materialization continues on the roof surfaces in the form of photovoltaic elements and green glass fragments made from recycled glass for the roof covering, providing additional insulation.
Together with the Danish company Too Good To Go and the app of the same name, we are fighting against food waste. Nowadays, throwing food away is no longer an option. With Too Good to Go, everyone can make an active contribution. Users can use the app to see which businesses in their area have leftover food, reserve it at a reduced price and save it as a surprise package. In this way, valuable food can still be sold - and everyone wins: the business, the guests and the environment.
We are currently working on the Würth Group's first sustainability report, which will transparently show our employees, customers, suppliers and other business partners how well we are performing in the area of sustainability. Our current sustainability magazine THE CIRCULAR WAY forms the basis for this and explains how sustainability is understood in the Würth Group and which projects have already been implemented.
